It’s flower week at the watercolor classes. Felt inspired by the simplicity and beauty of the lily symbolizing purity. Students were happy to attempt at doing this than the lemon.🤷🏻♀️ For the lesson we played with masking fluid for the flower (although technically not necessary), wet on wet for the background and wet on dry for most of the details. Working with shadow and light and learning to know when to use a lot of paint and when to pull back.
Next week is the last session and is open studio! Students are to bring a picture they want to paint or can repeat one of the lessons from the course. It’s a way for them and me to see how they can apply what they’ve learned to their next piece.
